Get that Temporary Tattoo off! Now!

Lola was dressed, looking all sorts of gorgeous and ready to go the other day, when....ARRGGHHH!! The horror of horrors!!! I spot a temporary tattoo on her arm! A half on/half off, nasty looking...I don't even know what it used to be. I detest those things! I don't even know where she gets them sometimes. How do I get it off? She can't possibly have THAT as an accessory to this beautiful dress! I run to the computer for help.
A lot of the ideas for getting them off listed seemed a little harsh, and I was pretty sure would involve scrubbing her arm raw. Other things, I just didn't have on hand. The site I was looking at suggested using scotch tape.

Tape? Hmmmm....would that REALLY work?
I was in a hurry so I used packing tape :D...it worked so good! With in two minutes of pressing it on her arm and pulling it off, the whole tattoo was off! Amazing!
I was so impressed by this! I finally have ammunition against these stupid things! I think people give them to my kids on purpose, just because they know I don't like them.
A little like the time Lilly was four and received play-do for Christmas. Not just a pack of it, mind you, a whole lot of packs of it...with a fun little play kit...grrr.

Anyways, here are a list of some other ideas on how to get the horrid, grubby, loathsome cute little temporary tattoos off your kids:
(These are ideas I have found, not necessarily ideas I have tried)
  1. Tape
    1. ...I think we have already covered this one
  2. Rub cooking oil on it, blot and repeat until off (this sounds like it would take a while...maybe not)
  3. Baby oil. The idea here was to apply before going to bed and the tattoo would be off in the morning (which brought visions of these nasty tattoos imprinted on the sheets)
  4. Goo Gone....hmmmm could work!

There were other ideas, I found which included SCRUBBING with nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol, or just plain soap. Seemed a little if-y to me, but once again, I have never tried those so I won't bash them too much.

Anyone else have ideas?...Or, have you tried any of these, and how well did they work?
